For the price, it's hard for me to fault these in any way, especially when you take into account the crazy discounts you'll find them at. I've had three pairs of these. The soles do wear down, but the leather is surprisingly durable for how light it is. These are the most comfortable shoes you'll ever have; if you're traveling, you can bring one shoe and be confident it will look classic for any occasion. The suede is especially non-water resistant, but there have been several occasions where i've gotten them soaked and assumed they would be ruined, but dried and looked great after a brushing. I can't recommend these enough; the Reddit cliche that every guy should have a pair (or three, and rotate them).The fit was dead on. My only complaint was that they pinched the top of my foot. Other than that they remind me of the same desert boots I wore in junior high school many years ago.I just like "em.I just like "em. I started wearing Clark's in the 1950's and I've followed them from England, to Slovenia, to China and now to Viet Nam. They're not exactly the same, but they're close enough. Order 1/2 half size down, let your feet settle in to the leather and enjoy. If you wear Jeans, khaki's or Cords you're on the right track, they're gonna look great!I love Clark's original Desert Boots. The fit is perfect...this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. Easy to put on and take off, and attractive. I get lots of compliments. If 4.5 was a review option, this would get it. As much as I love these shoes, the crepe soles get dirty and discolored real easy. I can clean them up a bit with a little dish washer detergent, but they are not perfect. I DID purchase a black pair with a black edging on the sole. Perfect. Be sure and protect the suede with a protective spray.Recommendations were to order them one size smaller than my regular fit. that proved to be invalid in my case. I am debating whether to order again, or drive 60 miles to somewhere that carries a selection of sizes. Still want the boot but, it may be too much trouble.The boots felt a bit snug across the instep (I have a high instep) when I first put them on but once the boot stretched a bit, they felt good. They look great with jeans and I'm glad I took the a chance in getting them in taupe. Also, I received an email from the seller that they were prioritizing my delivery and I received them a lot sooner than expected! I would buy them again from this seller!The boots were missing the heel, it was just a flat sole, I wish I had taken a photo to post. looked like it was boxed up before the shoe was completed. Never will i buy Clarks again. Call me a sucker but my last 2/3 purchases were complete busts. They were very uncomfortable until finqlly breaking in after close to 2 months and another gave me severe blisters. Yet one pair i had fit wonderfully but wore out way too fast. I bought these to travel with and explore at the recommendation of the late great Anthony Bourdain. I also liked the look and style as well. Im very disappointed with the poor longevity of these not to mention the inconsistency of their sizing. Too bad because i really loved these but the massive blisters on both heels after just 45min of walking from these last pair are proof positive i wont be going back for more.man it's annoying when you buy different brand of shoes the sizes are all over the place. the toe of the shoe is a bit too narrow as per my feet's liking. and i am skinny not like i have massive feet in width. runners i need US 10 to 10.5. these US 9 was too narrow. can't be bothered to wait for the break in. went for US 9.5 with a loose fit. i had to travel to the US to try out the sizes. they have Clarks everywhere. because they are nice and you want a pair of these boots man.el rastreo me indicaba que llegaría el día 19, me llego el 11, inmejorable, el producto de excelente calidad, lo que recomiendo es que compren uno de una talla o media talla mas chico,me quedo un poquito grande para mi gusto, pero nada incomodo, acostumbro a llevar el calzado un poco mas ajustado pero en lineas generales, estoy satisfecho.
